It's perspective, and persnickety comments and jaded views are quite telling. The reality is that the US is very wise for taking this active role in Columbia. There are many big issues to deal with there and this is a strategic location. Way to go USA, smart planning. Now, I'd sure like to see a rebuttal of all the reasons we should be there, but that article would be 150 pages, not 14 paragraphs. It’s unfortunate that this article is so anti-American.
