Monsanto Now Owns Blackwater (Xe)

A report by Jeremy Scahill in The Nation (Blackwater’s Black Ops, 9/15/2010) revealed that the largest mercenary army in the world, Blackwater (now called Xe Services) clandestine intelligence services was sold to the multinational Monsanto. Blackwater was renamed in 2009 after becoming famous in the world with numerous reports of abuses in Iraq, including massacres of civilians. It remains the largest private contractor of the U.S. Department of State “security services,” that practices state terrorism by giving the government the opportunity to deny it.

Many military and former CIA officers work for Blackwater or related companies created to divert attention from their bad reputation and make more profit selling their nefarious services-ranging from information and intelligence to infiltration, political lobbying and paramilitary training – for other governments, banks and multinational corporations. According to Scahill, business with multinationals, like Monsanto, Chevron, and financial giants such as Barclays and Deutsche Bank, are channeled through two companies owned by Erik Prince, owner of Blackwater: Total Intelligence Solutions and Terrorism Research Center. These officers and directors share Blackwater.

One of them, Cofer Black, known for his brutality as one of the directors of the CIA, was the one who made contact with Monsanto in 2008 as director of Total Intelligence, entering into the contract with the company to spy on and infiltrate organizations of animal rights activists, anti-GM and other dirty activities of the biotech giant.

Contacted by Scahill, the Monsanto executive Kevin Wilson declined to comment, but later confirmed to The Nation that they had hired Total Intelligence in 2008 and 2009, according to Monsanto only to

keep track of “public disclosure” of its opponents. He also said that Total Intelligence was a “totally separate entity from Blackwater.”

However, Scahill has copies of emails from Cofer Black after the meeting with Wilson for Monsanto, where he explains to other former CIA agents, using their Blackwater e-mails, that the discussion with Wilson was that Total Intelligence had become “Monsanto’s intelligence arm,” spying on activists and other actions, including “our people to legally integrate these groups.” Total Intelligence Monsanto paid $ 127,000 in 2008 and $ 105,000 in 2009.

No wonder that a company engaged in the “science of death” as Monsanto, which has been dedicated from the outset to produce toxic poisons spilling from Agent Orange to PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), pesticides, hormones and genetically modified seeds, is associated with another company of thugs.

Almost simultaneously with the publication of this article in The Nation, the Via Campesina reported the purchase of 500,000 shares of Monsanto, for more than $23 million by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which with this action completed the outing of the mask of “philanthropy.” Another association that is not surprising.

It is a marriage between the two most brutal monopolies in the history of industrialism: Bill Gates controls more than 90 percent of the market share of proprietary computing and Monsanto about 90 percent of the global transgenic seed market and most global commercial seed. There does not exist in any other industrial sector monopolies so vast, whose very existence is a negation of the vaunted principle of “market competition” of capitalism. Both Gates and Monsanto are very aggressive in defending their ill-gotten monopolies.

Although Bill Gates might try to say that the Foundation is not linked to his business, all it proves is the opposite: most of their donations end up favoring the commercial investments of the tycoon, not really “donating” anything, but instead of paying taxes to the state coffers, he invests his profits in where it is favorable to him economically, including propaganda from their supposed good intentions. On the contrary, their “donations” finance projects as destructive as geoengineering or replacement of natural community medicines for high-tech patented medicines in the poorest areas of the world. What a coincidence, former Secretary of Health Julio Frenk and Ernesto Zedillo are advisers of the Foundation.

Like Monsanto, Gates is also engaged in trying to destroy rural farming worldwide, mainly through the “Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa” (AGRA). It works as a Trojan horse to deprive poor African farmers of their traditional seeds, replacing them with the seeds of their companies first, finally by genetically modified (GM). To this end, the Foundation hired Robert Horsch in 2006, the director of Monsanto. Now Gates, airing major profits, went straight to the source.

Blackwater, Monsanto and Gates are three sides of the same figure: the war machine on the planet and most people who inhabit it, are peasants, indigenous communities, people who want to share information and knowledge or any other who does not want to be in the aegis of profit and the destructiveness of capitalism.

so ninjas dressed in black are going to steel my organic and heirloom crops and seed?

To Sue: Please let me know if they do….or don't. Had little" holiday- time "spirit, this year, from illness, and this is a wipe-out! These folks can't possibly love their children, let alone anyone else. Do they think they're preparing for any kind of future, other than darkness in all ways?

No, they'll plant some of their GMO's on your land and then sue you in one of their courts for intellectual property rights violation with a goal of stealing your land.

Blackwater and Monsanto are both evil.. but the article in the Nation says that Monsanto has contracted services from Blackwater they didn't buy their company.

Get your facts straight.. it'll help the cause of fighting corporate fascism all the better.

  • What whitenoise said. Monsanto HIRED Blackwater… didn't buy them. Details here:

Also, more info on what scumbags Monsanto are (and how they're screwing up) here:

So if I don't plant Monsanto soybeans, Xe goons are going to bust down my door and force me at gunpoint to buy RoundUp ready soybeans?

Now I know what the RoundUp means.

They may have 'hired' monsatan in the past, HOWEVER, if you Read THIS article it states "A report by Jeremy Scahill in The Nation (Blackwater’s Black Ops, 9/15/2010) revealed that the largest mercenary army in the world, Blackwater (now called Xe Services) clandestine intelligence services WAS SOLD TO the multinational Monsanto."

This in the final analysis makes perfect logical sense. Now we can have the food supply (many consider this important), protected by mercenary soldiers that are battle hardened. Monsanto can be protected from radical undesirables that can more easily by dealt with in FEMA camps. The FBI cannot be expected to continue protecting citizens at this high level without reinforcements. I would suggest we have a new force under homeland security to protect the food supply; money here would seem to be of secondary consideration, and the use of lethal force not unreasonable under the serious threats to Monsanto. I am looking forward to a union of Monsanto and the pharmacological industry to step up the protection of my family and humanity in general. As a great man once said, "Only bugs don't like Monsanto."

    • Steven

Really? I do hope you are kidding.

    • Gina Ellinger

If you are serious, SKIPPY NUTS is a very appropriate name. 😉 But also by choosing that name, I doubt your serious. whew… sure hope not. YIKES!

    • Naylor315

WOW!! Somebody's been sleeping too deeply. Time to wake up Skippy Nuts or Monsanto will kill your family.

    • Knowing

You are clearly not enlightened to the nature of pharma industry and Monsanto. Do more reading, homework about this topic. Look at why MSG was banned. Look at why you can leave fries and burgers from most fast food outlets for weeks and months on end in the open without it even moulding as to compared with natural food that goes off in 3-4 days. Would you prefer the right to live or be told how to live? Would you prefer the right to choose or be told what and how to do things. Would you prefer to have your own opinion or be told what to think?
It is your own life to live as you feel free to do so. I would suggest that you look at the otherside. It may even scare you.

I don't care how many lists I'm on… I hope all the government agents that have to sit and read all this crap and "control" and "report" everything have hemorrhoids the size of golf balls and their wives are f&cking their best friends…

You all need to watch the documentary on the Monsanto corporation!! It's eye opening and you would not believe what they are doing… I'm very surprised the Gates are involved. I don't know why, I thought they were good people.

Peace and see you all in jail together…LOL

Let's not forget that Warren Buffett gave $31 billion of his fortune to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which owns 500,000 shares of Monsanto.

If you control the seeds, you control the food; if you control the food, you control the people = world domination!

  • largartha

Microsoft is the largest holder/owner of genetic copyright in the world. It is important to understand that, if you want a context for what the Gates foundation is doing. To my mind the Gates foundation is up to its neck in this shit, simply reading the lists of what they are funding on the foundation websites indicates serious conflict of interests which everyone pretty much ignores because they are "giving away cash to the needy".

Monsanto and Blackwater, and the new bill just passed to detain Americans.

Any questions? Lock and load folks.

Monsanto did NOT buy Academi/Xe/Blackwater. Check your facts.

Not that I would EVER in ANY WAY defend any of these despicable companies; they are a stain on humanity and the right to life of the common man. However, I WILL breathe a sigh of relief that they have not converged.

Of all the ones I have read I find funny as heck. I enjoyed the ones that made me cough up a hairball or two. Either way you look at it folks, your scumbag of a government will take what was yours and keep it for themselves or better yet burn it all to hell. That is most likely where their final destination is when all this is said and done.

Monsanto owning the Blackwater terrorist organization is a perfect example of American social laziness combined with perfect, complete, destructive global greed.

Americans are animals. They do not care what they eat. If their food makes them sick, fat, anorexic, hyper, or lazy: all the better.

If it sickens their kids: no problem. Parents will pretend to be caring parents while still feeding kids the same trash, but they'll grin while being interviewed about their sick kid on TV. Americans don't truly care what they or their kids eat.

Americans do not care about anything as long as they get whatever it is they want. They consume, bully, and murder in extreme, entertaining fashion.

They rut like pigs, eat trash, and do filthy things 24 hours a day while looking very shiny and clean.

This is America people. Who is surprised?

    • Crosshairs on Conspi

      A sci-fi "what if?".

If it is true we are being studied by evolved aliens from other worlds or dimensions, I sincerely hope they do not share your penchant for sweeping generalization, lili. My parents and their friends struggled to learn the truth of what was being systematically hidden from us even prior to the McCarthy era (my dad was a WWII Marine radioman who, along with the Japanese, was told no fighting allowed in the corporate pineapple fields, both sides obeyed instructions, yet he wondered, there in the blood and sand: who could tell both sides not to mess up a pineapple crop?…who could make it stick?) Their offspring have done the same, wondered about authority, and some of our kids are, I hope even now, even before we had an Internet to truly inform us (we shared books and "underground" publications and newsletters, engaged with groups in direct discussion, and were just as careful then to sort the fake wheat from the chaff as should modern 'Net-surfers be now).

We, too, are Americans. I'd hate for sweeping-generality-driven aliens to simply fumigate the planet because of a relatively few rabid individuals and soulless Earthling corporate "entities" with the morals of diseased rodents. Few of the ignorant hoi polloi to whom you refer chose to be stupid. They are victims of a carefully planned training and drug program (not "education," TRAINING, from pre-school, with TV full of Hostess Goodness, Ozzie and Harriet [or whatever they watch now], Pasteurized milk, Kool-Aid and Coke, fluoride in everything they eat or drink, vaccines…now GMOs, drugs and yet more vaccines, exito-toxins such as MSG and aspartame). Kids can't do simple reading, writing, and arithmetic (read their comments) because they aren't normally exposed to these anymore. They aren't stupid (obviously there were very bright hunter-gatherers who weren't long on literature, either, but were great at the dynamics of survival or we would not be here–stories and cave drawings, they did it with). Heck, "stupid" would be learning long division and square roots with pencil and paper, as far as kids are concerned. Stupid would be reinventing pressure-flaking in an age of carbon steel arrowheads. Stupid would be a computer programmer writing code in zeroes and ones.

(Of course, if the aliens saw that we couldn't ultimately curb the Herods, Vlads, Stalins, Hitlers, Nixons, Pol Pots, Kim Jong Ils, and Cheneys among us, perhaps I could appreciate planetary extermination.)

But don't sell Americans short, lili. Despite our Washingtons, Adamses, Jeffersons, Franklins, Paines (plenty of them around today, just not many–Ron Paul and a very few others, perhaps–willing to jump into the corrupt sewer of modern paid-politics) most of the patriots who kicked the red-coated tryants' asses out of the colonies couldn't read, write, or cipher very well, and they learned to live on deer jerky, squirrels, roots, sea salt, chicory tea, and dilute vinegar as a disease-preventing tonic. All organic, of course.

Sure, they'd have been eating Spaghettios and hot pizza, drinking Bud Lites, and watching Internet porn at Valley Forge (I'd worry about the future of the country if they had no interest) if these things had been available, and Betsy Ross would have been getting Botox injections and taking the pill and worrying about her nails somewhat more than we might expect of Rosie the Riveter in WWII. A lot of these people wouldn't make the ultimate cut as your brand of Americans (and a lot didn't, even the tough ones who ate raccoon livers and boiled dandelions off plates fashioned from tree bark).

But I still put my money on Americans to ultimately wake up and smell the stench of tyranny. Perhaps, to do something about it. Not all of us are like what you watch on TV. Some of us watch educational TV…like CNN, FOX, MSNBC, CNBC, ABC, CBS, and so forth. We do it with our computers tuned to a search engine and we fill in a LOT of blanks during the commercials.

Very instructive. Not putting your thoughts down, lili, many share them (even me on rainy days). Just asking, in your opinion, do you consider the American cartridge belt to be half empty, or half full? (Especially considering that, whether they've signed up with the Oath Keepers or not, many of the troops we fear will be unleashed upon us by S. 1867 grew up here; they WILL end up quartered in our homes…their homes–the last of the Bill of Rights to not yet go by the wayside. They HAVE the training to combat UN troops, even NATO troops. Who do you think they'll protect if the worst happened? Their homeland? Or the nebulous New World Order? Plus…there are millions of game hunters in the US, just as good as the patriots who chased the Brit troops back to Boston after they'd failed at Concord and Lexington. Only, these guys are better armed, with a lot more than squirrel guns. And a lot of THEM are vets, some with gray hair dating back to the last days of the Korean "police action." Yeah, an active 75 year-old patriot with an M1 is every bit as scary as a kid with an Uzi. The kid hopes to get lucky with one round out of 20, the old man was trained to be right with one round out of…one. If he's kept in shape and still goes to the range every so often, do the 'rithmetic.)

Plus, we've still got a lot of pissed off Vietnam Vets out there, and guys and gals trained in a lot of unannounced wars in between and after. Then, there's Iraq I, Afghanistan (forever), and Iraq II, some have come back. Think they can't organize any number of squirrel shooters in their neighborhood against UN and NATO troops? Against Blackwater? Even National Guards stationed a thousand miles from their homes (so they won't rebel)? Think they won't choose up sides against military action against their hometowns?

Wait'll their high schools and homes are fired upon. I believe that if it goes that way (it could and you know it), we'll see patriotism with a vengeance, such as the telephone-wielding chickenhawks could never have imagined they might unleash.

America is a sleeping giant. About to wake up in a bad mood.

      • Karin

Brilliant observation – well written and smartly accurate! I'm all the way from DownUnder and am reading what's happening in the US with great interest. I agree with you. The people will wake up and when they do God help the the oppressors!

    • Michelle

Wow…I gather you aren't an American. Many parents do care what they feed there children so how dare you generalize all Americans don't care. Speak for yourself.

I find it sad that most of the people who are commenting

on this article are and perhaps have always believed what

they read as long as it fits with their limited understanding

    of what the topics are.

Probably the bottom 1% of the 99%.

  • Tek

Next, Monsanto will patent all the drug (Pot, Poppy, etc) plants, then hire the cartels through Blackwater to enforce their ownership.

The price of happiness is going up.

  • Crosshairs on Conspi

To those disturbed by the crosshairs in the banner: Time was when this symbol would have been interpreted by anyone I knew during the Cold War as "America Under Threat." The automatic interpretation that the symbolism in the banner means Americans threatening the US government, THAT I find disturbing. (Understandable…nonetheless disturbing.)

I also find it disturbing that (a) it's pretty obvious that if Monsanto hired Xe affiliates to even so much as mow their lawn we're looking at a marriage made in Hell; (b) that it matters little who owns shares of whom, whether by proxy or clear public record. (Experts have tried to keep track of who actually owns 90% of our mainstream news since Clinton's roll-back of limited media ownership laws. Analysts who get big bucks figuring out the corporate cross-linkages within and surrounding the Big 6 say it is like trying to analyze a pot of boiling spaghetti.)

Put Bill Gates/Warren Buffett, Erik Prince/Cofer Black, and a handful of Monsanto execs in the same room, you have a recipe for conspiracy which should make the entire world tremble. What have these entities to do with one another? (First tentative guess: It's not a mutually-shared interest in World Philanthropy.)

Nothing, in fact which bodes well for the citizens of Planet Earth. Not a single thing any moderately informed person can possibly imagine. We don't have to know the actual relationship. That there IS a relationship should be sufficient to cause us nightmares.

Now these goons can threaten us all with lethal force from blackwater if we don't want to use GMO crops. That's right, you own land and they buy the land beside yours and plant crops on top of your crops then they can take you to court because you are infringing on their land rights somehow. And then there's blackwater, snorting up coke running around in the streets of iraq doing god knows what to civilians (although we have a pretty good idea what they are doing don't we?)

11 familes control the corporations by cross-pollinating bords of directors.

There are roughly 100 corporations that control the U.S. Much ahs been written of this since the 60's. Eisenhower warned in his last speech as President. JFK warned in one of his last speeches as President. It's not conspiracy, just business.

What's different this time around is that on New Year's Eve a few days back, Barack (Barry Soetoro) Obama quietly signed into law, the National Defense Authorization Act, which allows the military to arrset, hold as long as they wish, torture, rendition to another country – at any time, from anywhere, including the US citizens on their own soil.

It's not capitalism that is the culprit. We haven't had true capitalism in the U.S. for a long time. We're under "crony-capitalism," or Corporatism, or Fascism. If we were to actually run our economy on capitalism, we'd solve a lot of our problems.
