The video below describes in some detail the concept behind both the MKV-L and MKV-R Multiple Kill Vehicle Variants. After Spending zillions of dollars on this R&D and hardware I certainly hope this defense technology will be effective if it should ever be needed.

Here is a live Hover test of the MKV-L variant performed at Edwards Air Force base in California.
Although these vehicles are meant to be used in space, the test was done on the ground within a protective netted area, it is indeed impressive at how much control and precision it displays.
