Full Description of Event/Sighting: My father was a Naval F4 fighter pilot at
Yuma’s Naval Air
Station. We lived on base housing and our housing unit looked south toward the
Mexican border,
over a chain link fence and on the other side miles of large citrus groves.

My dad had a nightly habit before bed of going out on the patio during the
spring or fall when it
cooled down to smoke his cigars/pipes. My mom wouldn’t let him smoke in the
house.

I was 9 at the time and would not even remember the event if my parents and
the neighbors
hadn’t made such a big deal about it.

My mom called me down from my room, out on to the back porch, where my dad was
standing
out in the yard instead of sitting in his chair smoking. They pointed to a
bright red light hovering
toward the mountain range in the distance (maybe 15 miles away?). It was
large enough to make
out a disk shape (not a point like a star, but more like Mars with a
discernable disc). It did not do
much – just hovered perfectly still for a few minutes.

After a few minutes a small point of red light descended from the larger one
toward the ground.
I think it joined again (that is the story I had heard from my mom), but
honestly, I do not
remember where they went. I was only 9 and quite frankly lost interest after
ten or so minutes of
standing in the cold. My parents would not take their eyes off of it though,
and stayed outside
in the cold air for at least another hour talking about it. I went inside.

One reason I have never forgotten or dismissed the incident, is that the next
day, my mom cut
out a news paper clipping of a boarder patrol agent or police (can’t remember
which) that was
much closer to the sighting and he described in detail exactly what we had
seen. The paper also
said that a large number of reports had been made to the police and a large
number of inquiries
were also called in to the naval base dispatchers and military police.

We never got any more information from the base or papers, or news, so I
tucked it away in my
memory, and only really think about it when I come across someone talking
about a similar
incident. I happened onto another post on your website by (name removed), that
seems to
describe what I believe is the same sighting.

This event may have been military testing, or something covert, but it was not
fabricated.
Thousands of people stood watching something they had never seen before that
night in Yuma,
some of which were naval pilots and ground crew living/working on the base
that shared their
experience with my dad.

Investigative reporter Seymour Hersh may have made a little more news than he intended by talking about new alleged instances of domestic spying by the CIA, and about an ongoing covert military operation that he called an “executive assassination ring.” [Hersh said] “after 9/11 … the Central Intelligence Agency was very deeply involved in domestic activities against people they thought to be enemies of the state, without any legal authority for it. Today, there was a story in the New York Times that … mentioned something known as the Joint Special Operations Command — JSOC. They reported directly to the Cheney office. They did not report to the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff or to Mr. [Robert] Gates, the secretary of defense. They reported directly to [Cheney]. Congress has no oversight of it.”

“It’s an executive assassination ring essentially, and it’s been going on and on. They’ve been going into countries, not talking to the ambassador or the CIA station chief, and finding people on a list and executing them. That’s been going on in the name of all of us.”

He added that both the press and the public let down their guard in the aftermath of 9/11. “The major newspapers joined the [Bush] team.” Top editors passed the message to investigative reporters not to ‘pick holes’ in what Bush was doing.

While we can be thankful for the exceptions like MSNBC in this case, all too often the major media are failing at their responsibility to educate the public and expose gross and illegal manipulations on the part of government and industry.

Israel is preparing for all-out war on multiple fronts that include Iran, Syria and Lebanon, a senior military commander claims.

Israeli army Home Front Command Major General Yair Golan said Sunday that Tel Aviv is preparing for “all possible scenarios”, indicating that one such scenario would be to fight a simultaneous war against Iran, Syria and Lebanon.

The confirmation comes as US President Barack Obama seeks “new beginnings” with its arch-rival Iran. The US offer has been met with world praise but with fury in Tel Aviv.

Israeli media outlets late on Sunday began propagating wild scenarios that Iran is using the Lebanese Hezbollah to recruit Palestinian fighters to carry out terror attacks on Israel.

Citing anonymous sources, the reports began to surface after Tel Aviv countered an alleged bombing attempt outside a shopping mall in the northern city of Haifa.

“We are treating the attempted attack in Haifa with great gravity. A huge disaster was prevented by a miracle,” Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told a weekly cabinet meeting after the bomb was defused on Sunday.

Israel has long accused Iran of arming Hezbollah and Palestinian groups via Syria, in an attempt to demonize the two Muslim countries.

Tel Aviv also accuses Tehran of developing nuclear weaponry — a charge denied by the UN nuclear watchdog.

At a conference held in Tel Aviv, Golan also confirmed the likeliness of Israel staging another military confrontation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Although Israel does not consider rocket attacks from Gaza as a serious threat, there is the possibility of “dangerous” missile attacks by other countries, he said.

He failed to elaborate how such missile attacks would relate to Gaza.

His remarks came as reports claim that the soon-to-be Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has plans for “a major military conflict in the coming months.”

The commander also revealed that Tel Aviv will install new warning systems across Israel in preparation for its war plans.

The last Israeli-waged war on the Gaza Strip, which began on December 27, killed at least 1,350 Palestinians and wounded more than 5,450 others in the densely-populated sliver.

The aggression was the last in a series of operations carried out by the Israeli forces against the natives of the land since occupying Palestine in 1948.

Can you Identify this plane?, is it even real?
I have seen images and video of many military and civilian aircraft but I can never recall seeing this plane, which appears to be a jet watercraft, and definitely looks military.
Anyone have any idea?
